Beloved teacher, preacher, friend and mentor, Malcolm died on Thanksgiving day 2014, a fitting day for one who was so captivated by grace and gratitude.

Dr. Tolbert has blessed so many and been such a part of CBF-LA through the Stagg-Tolbert Forum and in many other ways. He was a noted author and among his most enduring is surely the fine commentary on Luke in the Broadman Commentary series. Malcolm was a popular professor at New Orleans Baptist Seminary and then Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest.

At his memorial service at Broadmoor in Baton Rouge, an article by Malcolm entitled The Confessions of a Would-be Change Agent was distsributed courtesy of Fisher Humphreys. A copy of it is posted here.
