A Missionary's Heart

Louisiana Couple: Presence of Christ
Among the Gypsies

Bethelehem Church in Moldolva

The Fellowship has approximately 160 missionaries serving around the world. Louisiana Fellowship members support this work through their prayers and gifts through their churches or giving directly to the national office on line through the CBF Gift Catalog.

The Louisiana Fellowship also supports, through a partnership, the work of Louisiana native Fellowship missionaries Keith Holmes and Mary van Rheenen in their work with the Romany people (Gypsies) in Europe. Read their prayer letter here.

This partnership includes prayer support, financial support with an annual budget line item, and encouragement and other kinds of support from Louisiana members such as designated offerings, volunteer trips, and responding to tangible needs identified.

We have particularly supported the work of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Vulcanesti, Moldova, an all Gypsy congreagation in the poorest country in Europe. Their story is a beautiful one of perserverance against great odds.

Keith and Mary are involved in a number of ministries including Bible translation primarily into video, supporting churches, pastors and micro-enterprise. See video of Keith and Mary's work.

Gifts to support this work can be given on line through the CBF Gift Catalog.
